What is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is an exfoliating treatment that skims dead skin cells and removes fine vellus hairs from your skin. Unlike traditional shaving of facial hair, Dermaplaning creates minimal surface contact and doesn’t irritate the hair follicles. This technique also encourages cell turnover which leads to fewer wrinkles, dark spots, reduction of acne scarring.  Prepares skin for other treatments.

 

How does it work?

After your skin is prepped, a small scapel is used on clean, dry skin on the forehead, cheeks, chin, nose & neck to remove dead skin cells & facial hair. Dermaplaning also aids in enhancing the absorption of skincare products.
